Template Configuration

The Template Configuration is where you create email, Agreement Terms & Conditions, SMS message, or any general templates to use in your Moso myClub application.

Templates MUST BE CONFIGURED before you do any Portal Configurations!!! Selecting the appropriate Templates is required for configuring an Agreement for online sale.

These Templates are primarily used for Online Scheduling and the Free Trial and Join Now features in Moso myClub.

  • Email - This is what a member (or prospective member) receives after they have completed the Agreement process e.g. a welcome message. This can also be for any other routine email that you send to your members or customers.
  • Contract Terms - This is what displays in the "Terms and Conditions" section during the Agreement Writer or Join Now processes. This is accompanied by an acceptance check box of some sort that must be agreed upon before completing that process.
  • SMS - This is for formatting your text messages, which are another available option for membership welcome messages or for any sort of reminder e.g. PT, Renewal, etc.
  • General - This is for any non-specific Templates you may want to create.

How to Configure a Template

The standard Templates in the left panel are preconfigured based on the Template Type you select. The HTML elements in the body of these Templates however, is NOT hard coded and can be customized.

Though you can enter plain text in the body of the Templates, using HTML elements gives you more formatting options. The Show Fields button gives you the ability to add or edit the HTML elements in each Template. If you select HTML, this will automatically pull that specific information e.g. if you enter or select "${CustomerName}" tag, that specific customer's name is pulled from that table in the database and inserted into the email or SMS.

To Configure a Template:

  1. Select the level of your Enterprise for which you are configuring this template from the drop-down list in the header section. Templates can be configured for any level of your Enterprise hierarchy.
  2. In the left section, select the Template Type from the drop-down list (Email, Contract Terms, SMS, General). A list of standard, preconfigured Templates displays based on the Template Type you select.
  3. To ADD a Template, click the Add Template button. This activates the right section and populates the Specified From field with the Source Level you selected.
  4. Enter a Name (required) and Description for the Template in their respective text boxes.
  5. Select a Content Type (Text or HTML) from the drop-down list.
    1. This will change the label of the bottom field.
    2. If you select HTML, the standard formatting toolbar displays but will not be activated until you click in the text field.
  6. Enter the plain text or HTML elements, pending on your previous selection, in the bottom field. You can select the tags you want to insert for either option by clicking the Show Fields button.
    1. Separated lists of tags display based on the functionality (Common, Agreement, Appointment, Notification) e.g. "${BarcodeNumber}" is a data element used in Agreements, "${Time}" is used with Appointments, etc.
    2. If you hover over an unselected tag, a tip box will display on how to add the tag to the body of the Template.
    3. To insert a tag:
      1. Click the tag (the tag will be highlighted in light blue), then click where in the bottom section you want to insert that tag.
      2. The text cursor will remain in that spot. Meanwhile, move your default cursor back to the selected tag and double click. This will insert the tag in that spot in the bottom section.
        Adding tags to a Template.
